Chosen (Ephesians 1:5-6)

Ephesians 1:5-6 (KJV) reads, "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." Whether you're born out of wedlock. Whether you're handicapped. Whether you're blind. Whether you're deaf. Whether you're the oldest sibling. Whether you're the youngest sibling. Whether you have a learning disability. You have been chosen by God to be alive at this moment in time.

Life has a way of humbling us. There are times that life reminds us of our disabilities and disadvantages. These disabilities and advantages remind us not to think too highly of ourselves. Before our pride leads to our downfalls, we must remember our disabilities and disadvantages before the fall takes place. Remembering how good we have it in 2023. are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to blessings. Blessings are to be counted and cherished. I am grateful for all my blessings (both big and small). Every morning and every night I give glory and praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My mission is to use my story to inspire, motivate, and set people free. After I finish writing, typing, editing, and publishing my work reaches the reader. Once the reader receives my work it's up to him or her to do something with it. Whether the reader is from Canada, United Kingdom, Brazil, or in prison it doesn't matter. The ultimate goal is to help people tell their stories. Boasting, chauvinism, or degradation I will never tolerant. In this hour our responsibility towards one another is to help each other grow, not to judge and rebuke. Telling each other our stories has more impact than sitting in a classroom.

I have found my calling in writing. But writing isn't the only way to tell your story. Cooking, cleaning, painting, designing, drawing, or even operating a bus or train are all devices that can use to tell your story. Just like in nature, it's the small components that make the most impact. We don't always have to look to big names for inspiration or words of wisdom. You will be surprised as to how many ideas can be sparked by conversations with everyday people. I try my best to talk to the janitor as well as the CEO. Generosity and humility are the proper steps to achieving this.

If I leave you with anything it would be to be proud of yourself. Be proud to be standing where you are and work towards where you want to be. Never be ashamed of humble beginnings. Never be afraid of to lose or fail. Always try new things and learn new skills. Put your trust in God. Believe in yourself before others do. Do not seek approval. Keep your head up and let nothing stop you.
